When you wanna feel comfort and wholesome...

I have to live in the city for a while for work. After the recession, I just couldn't make enough of a living on my own in the forest and had to leave my cutest cabin. But I grew up in the woods and then spent many years away traveling and completing my Bachelor degree, and I always go back to see my family and never feel completely away from it in my life. And I don't think a whole upbringing of running around wild in the forest barefoot with dogs and wild elk suddenly leaves your soul when ya have to put on heals and walk on pavement. Hee hee. Living in the city for a bit is also a great way to build up a career to save up to buy land in the future. I know always that I will settle back in the woods again, it just takes some time to be able to afford that dream cabin, with hammock and goat too hopefully! :)
Anyhoo when ever I miss the wholesome innocense of the forest, I like to watch a cute Canadian TV show filmed in Alberta called Heartland, on CBC. Its about a horse ranch and super cute and has very pretty landscapes in it. When I was little my other favorite Canadian show, cuz I am proudly Canadian and from the mountains, was Road to Avonlea. Its by the same author of Anne of Green Gables and very cute too. :)
I've been back to my hicksville twice in a few months since I moved to see Mama Hick Femme. She is adorable. She is a mean tie-dyer and knitter. I am always trying to convince she should sell her knitting on etsy. She bought me a rose quartz crystal and some essential oils. I am a hippy child. It's rad. She loves Bob Dylan and used to shoot cans off the compost pile with her BB Gun when I was growing up. Loves the HT Mama! She used to like riffles but then just BB Guns, but I would try to get her not to shoot the squirrels! My Gramps belongs to the local Rod and Gun Club, which is just for hunters and they also protect some local land for endangered animals like mountain goats. I asked him once to take me to the gun range so I could try it, but he said : "It's no place for a lady." Ha ha! I never asked again. :)
